 There are 21 different guns and 8 different weapon categories in the game. They differ greatly in terms of how they feel and what they do. Swiss Army knives are available, but so are guns that are specialized in a single area. Let's take a closer look at all eight categories.

 Assault Rifles: Your fast-firing guns. There are two types of semi-auto weapons: one is burstfire and the other one is semi-auto.

 Battle Rifles, or marksman rifles. It is important to aim accurately, or you may be punished severely.

 SMGs: They are among the best PvP guns, but they are weak against most ARCs

 Shotguns can deal a lot of damage, but they are not very effective against ARCs.

 The best weapons to fight enemies are pistols.

 LMG: I should have named it Torrente because it is the only firearm that fits. It works against ARCs because it's a KRISS-Vector.

 Special: There are two guns that can't be classified in any other way. Both guns work well against ARCs.

 S-Tier is the only way to go against ARCs. The A-Tier gun is also pretty good, but it's DPS may not be enough for some ARCs. B-Tier is okay against both but weak enough to cause some damage to the parts. C-Tier gun are good only against regular ARCS.  S-Tier

 A-Tier

 This tier includes ARC-fighting weapons, which are not as powerful or quick. Let's take a look at them in two or three sentences.

 Ferro: The best weapon to use against ARCs. It is a good weapon to deal with ARCs but it is painfully slower. Since it's free, upgrading it doesn't seem to make much sense. It's fine to use it solely for ARCs if you don’t have any other weapons. Particularly if you are a good shooter.

 A-tier weapons are still a viable option against ARC enemy. They will allow you to take them on without having to worry about your health or loot.

 B-Tier

 These weapons are able to handle ARCs quite well, but using a microscopist to crack a nut feels like it. Why? The task will be done, but not well. It may also cost you. Even so, they are sufficient to rid you of annoying Snitches or Hornets. Never use them to take on boss ARCs.

 Venator: A PvP juggernaut that can take on ARCs. Don't expect it will do miracles, particularly after the nerf.

 C-Tier (D-Tier) and D-Tier

 It is not allowed to use these guns against ARCs. They are either bad or purely PvP. They're mostly good for destroying Fireballs or Pops. Do not expect them handle anything more powerful than that. Now let's round off our ARC-Raiders best PvE guns ranked list.

 Stitcher (to Stitcher): "Well, it can shoot quickly." It is capable of destroying Hornets or Wasps just by stopping them. However, it will take quite a few of your bullets.

 AVOID ARCs as if they were wildfire with these weapons. You'll spend a ton of ammo, even if they are defeated. It's at least the minimum. The worst scenario is that they'll kill you. You don't wish to die at the hands of a Hornet. Fortunately, avoiding ARCs in most cases is very easy. Do not trigger them without a need.
